First Peal on the new 12 at Bitterne Park
The first peal of Yorkshire Max was rung on Sunday 8/06/08 in 3 hrs 7 mins. See the details here. The band is pictured below:

Bitterne Park Augmented
Following years of fund raising, and a lot of effort, the four extra trebles have been added to Bitterne Park. The bells, cast by Royal Eijsbouts of Holland, are fully installed and ringing, as well as the old chiming bell which has been hung for full circle ringing as the flat sixth.

Annual Meeting Elects New Committee
The annual meeting on the 7th March elected the following people to the following positions:
Mark Place - Ringing Master and Steeple Keeper
Steve Borman - Deputy Ringing Master
Tom Read - Secretary (BP) and Treasurer (BP)
Lucy Clark - Secretary (CC)
Wally Glasspool - Treasurer (CC)
John Philips - Captain Clock (CC)

SCR Win the Hinton Trophy
Southampton City Ringers have won the Hinton Trophy, this year held at Milford on Sea. The trophy is now displayed in St Mary's, and Becky has promised to polish it every week!

Southampton City Ringers come second in the Hartless Shield
A great performance by Lucy secured second place in the call change competition held at Brockenhurst this year, with top spot being narrowly taken by Ealing.
